Bart Talloen

Bart is the founder and CEO of ELevateEx and an Executive Fellow at the World Economic Forum, serving on the Global Future Council for Advanced Mfg. & Supply Chains, the Global Lighthouse Network Advisory Board, and Expert Panel. He is also a member of the advisory board of the Smart Manufacturing Institute (CESMII) and the Bain External Advisory Network (BAN). He collaborates with the Manufacturing Leadership Council, part of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) in various capacities.

In 2023, he was named Manufacturing Leader of the Year by the National Association of Manufactures (NAM) and its Manufacturing Leadership Council. As recognized thought leader in manufacturing and supply chain, Bart is a sought-after speaker on operational excellence, digital transformation and Industry 4.0, and the future of manufacturing and supply chains.

Bart is also known as an avid fitness fanatic, having attempted (and broken) GWRs in pushups & chin ups. He promotes fitness & wellness through Bart's Challenge, an annual competition that he organizes in collaboration with the Greater Somerset County YMCA in NJ, USA. Bart's Challenge has raised $350,000 (and counting).

Career Background

Throughout his career in pharmaceuticals, OTC, consumer goods, and medical devices, Bart led large mfg. & supply chain organizations, global enterprise-wide strategy and technology innovation teams, and large-scale business transformations. He also successfully executed an FDA Consent Decree and re-certified 3 sites. He has a proven track record in developing high performing organizations & in delivering transformational performance improvements. Bart is a certified 6 Sigma Master Black Belt and Executive Lean Sensei Director.

• 11 WEF Lighthouse Designations for deployment and scaling of advanced manufacturing technologies between 2018 and 2023; the most of any company globally.
• Gartner's 2021 Power of the Profession Award for J&J's 3D printing COVID response efforts, developed and implemented under Bart's leadership.
• 2017 Operational Excellence Award from the MLC for the Johnson & Johnson Production System (JJPS), which Bart spearheaded from development to deployment.
